DMCA & Copyright Policy
Effective Date: March 25, 2026 | Registration No. DMCA-1070898
Our Commitment to Copyright
Simatom News respects the intellectual property rights of publishers, journalists, and content creators. All content displayed on Simatom News is sourced exclusively from publicly available RSS feeds published voluntarily by third-party news organizations. We do not reproduce, host, or claim ownership of any third-party content.
We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and maintain a formal process for addressing copyright concerns. We have registered a DMCA Agent with the U.S. Copyright Office as required for safe harbor protection (Registration No. DMCA-1070898).
How Simatom News Works
Simatom News is a news aggregation platform that indexes and surfaces publicly syndicated content via RSS feeds. We operate similarly to an RSS feed reader: we display headlines, summaries, and excerpts made available by Publishers through their own public feeds, and we always link directly to the original article on the Publisher's website.
We do not reproduce full articles; bypass or cache content behind paywalls; modify or editorialize Publisher content; or claim any editorial affiliation with any Publisher.
Publisher Opt-Out
If you are a Publisher and wish to have your content removed from Simatom News, you do not need to file a formal DMCA notice. Simply email us at contact@simatomnews.com with your publication name and domain, and we will remove your RSS feed and associated content within 72 hours.
You may also restrict future indexing by updating your robots.txt file or discontinuing your public RSS feed. Simatom News honors all robots.txt directives.
Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that content accessible through Simatom News infringes your copyright and you wish to file a formal DMCA takedown notice, your notice must include all of the following elements as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):
- Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or, if multiple works, a representative list);
- The specific URL(s) on simatomnews.com where the allegedly infringing content appears. General descriptions are not sufficient;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf;
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices will not be processed. Simatom News is not responsible for inaccuracies or deficiencies in notices submitted by third parties.

Counter-Notice Procedure
If you believe your content was removed in error (for example, because you are the authorized rights holder or because the content qualifies as fair use), you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:
- Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
- Identification of the content that was removed and its URL before removal;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original takedown notice;
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Submit counter-notices to the same address listed above. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, Simatom News will restore the removed content within 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
Repeat Infringer Policy
Simatom News maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat copyright infringers. We reserve the right to terminate any user's access to the Services at our sole discretion.
Misrepresentation Warning
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that content is infringing, or that content was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees incurred by the alleged infringer, the content provider, or Simatom News. Do not submit a DMCA notice if you are not certain that the content in question infringes your copyright.
Questions & Informal Requests
For general copyright questions or Publisher opt-out requests that do not require a formal DMCA notice, contact us at contact@simatomnews.com. We're a small independent team and we're happy to resolve issues informally whenever possible.
