Swervedriver have announced a 2026 North American tour to commemorate the 35th anniversary of their debut album, Raise.
The trek will hit the East Coast from mid-to-late August, including stops in Toronto, Chicago, and Brooklyn. Then, in December, Swervedriver will hit the West Coast, including San Diego, San Francisco, and Portland. Not only are Swervedriver playing Raise front-to-back during each show, but the band has promised a “load of extra nuggets from the back catalogue.”
Tickets are currently available through the BrooklynVegan pre-sale (use code BVraise35) ahead of the general on-sale beginning on Friday, May 15th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster and the band’s website.
Since its release in September 1991, Raise has been heralded as a vital album in the canon of shoegaze. In fact, PopMatters went as far as sayig that Raise (and its 1993 follow-up, Mezcal Head) “not only represent some of the best driving music you’ll ever experience, they are also two of the best rock albums of the ’90s.”
