Qatar’s Prime Minister and foreign minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Saudi foreign minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud discussed bilateral relations and regional developments during a phone call, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar.

The ministry said the talks focused on developments related to the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, as well as efforts to reduce tensions and strengthen regional stability.

During the conversation, Al Thani stressed the importance of all parties responding positively to ongoing mediation efforts and called for addressing the root causes of the crisis through peaceful dialogue to secure a sustainable agreement and prevent a renewed escalation.
