This is a straightforward music industry announcement piece relying entirely on press release material and official band statements with no independent reporting, critical analysis, or sourcing beyond corporate/label communications. The language is promotional but factual—descriptive of the music and artist claims without editorial stance. The framing centers the band and label narrative uncritically, typical of entertainment coverage that functions as semi-advertising.

Bloc Party have announced a new album, Anatomy of a Brief Romance, and released the first single, “Coming on Strong.”
The new album is set for release on September 11th on newly formed record label cOnTAGIOUS LTD via Virgin Music Group.
Anatomy of a Brief Romance is produced by Trevor Horn who worked with 1980s powerhouses like Grace Jones, Pet Shop Boys and Frankie Goes To Hollywood.
Kele Okereke, Bloc Party’s frontman, promises their most confessional and personal record to date, recalling in true detail his separation from his long-time partner, the subsequent turmoil and finding love again.
“Every lyric you’re hearing on this record was something that actually happened to me,” Okereke said in a press release. “I don’t think I’ve ever been that candid in the past.”
“Coming On Strong” pulses with a thumping beat and woozy, looping guitar riff before settling into a shadowy, electro-rock arrangement that brings the sound of espionage to the speakers.
“I like the fact that harmonically and musically, it feels dark, sinister, like something is creeping up,” Okereke said.
The album will be released on standard and limited edition vinyl, CD and digital formats.
Bloc Party, along with The Temper Trap, will be supporting Muse on a North American tour in July. Fans can find tickets for sold out shows and deals here.
