Josh Groban has announced the “Stage, Screen, and Symphony” tour on which he’ll perform music from Broadway and films with full symphony orchestras across the US.
The 13-date run begins August 11th at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati. Groban visits cities like Charlotte, Grand Rapids, Saratoga Springs, and Kansas City. The tour ends September 3rd at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas.
“I’ve always been drawn to music that tells a story, whether it’s on the Broadway stage, in film, or through a great symphonic arrangement,” Groban said in a press release. “This tour is a chance for me to bring all of those worlds together while sharing many of the songs that have inspired me throughout my career.”
A pre-sale for the tour begins Tuesday, May 12th at 10:00 a.m. local time. A general on-sale begins Friday, May 15th at 10:00 a.m. local via Ticketmaster.
Along with Broadway hits, Groban will be featuring selections from his latest album CINEMATIC on which the pianist and singer rendered songs featured prominently in films, such as “Skyfall,” the song from the James Bond movie of the same name.
Groban will appear as a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday, May 12th and perform “Stand By Me” on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Thursday, May 14th.
Before the “Stage, Screen, and Symphony” tour, Groban is doing a two week tour with Jennifer Hudson supporting that hits Boston, New York, and Chicago among other cities. He has an October residency at The Colosseum of Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Tickets can also be bought here.
